- 2 cups chopped bottle gourd (lauki)
- 1 cup plain yogurt (dahi)
- 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder (lal mirch)
- 1 tsp ginger paste (adrak)
- 1 tsp garlic paste (lehsun)
- 1 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves for garnish
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add ginger and garlic paste and sauté for a few seconds.
- Add the chopped bottle gourd, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix well.
- Cover the pan and let the bottle gourd cook for 10-12 minutes on low flame until it becomes tender.
- Once the bottle gourd is cooked, add the plain yogurt and mix well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
